Slow Cooker Sticky Chicken By Kelly Miller • November15,2011 • Updated April 10, 2018 • 20 Comments72.2K12 *This post contains affiliate links* Pin It This recipe was very yummy, something all three of us enjoyed. I’ve really been getting my money’s worth outta this Crock Pot, I tell you! I love that most of the cooking is done in the slow cooker and then you broil it for a few minutes to make it crispy. Genius! Slow Cooker Sticky Chicken from Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures 3 lbs chicken thighs (you can use any kind of chicken you want, I bought the cheapest that week) 3/4 cup brown sugar, divided 1/4 cup soy sauce, divided 1 teaspoon ground ginger 4 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon cayenne (omitted, shh don’t tell my husband 🙂 1/4 cup tomato paste 1/4 cup water Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in the slow cooker. Add chicken and stir to coat evenly. Cook chicken for 4 hours on low or until done. Meanwhile, combine remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, water, and tomato paste. When chicken is done, place on a lined cookie sheet and brush all sides with sauce. Pour extra sauce over chicken (don’t waste one bit, trust me!). Broil for about 5 minutes or until desired crispness. Serve with white rice. Don’t miss another Mostly Homemade Mom recipe! Click here to have recipes delivered by email.
