Spaghetti Salad By Kelly Miller • August9,2019 • Leave a Comment 316 Jump to Recipe Jump to VideoSpaghetti Salad is so simple to make for a potluck or BBQ! Cooked spaghetti, cucumber, zesty Italian dressing, and salad supreme seasoning. Chill and it’s ready! One bite of this easy spaghetti salad and I’m instantly transported to my childhood! This potluck salad was present at every gathering and party our family had – especially in the summer. I remember seeing it chilling in a retro tupperware container in my Grandmother’s fridge! You might be surprised at the amount of salad supreme seasoning that’s in this salad (the whole bottle). Yes, it’s a lot. Yes, it’s WELL WORTH IT! This spaghetti salad is absolutely packed with flavor! Feel free to add your favorite veggies to this, though admittedly growing up, it was just the spaghetti. The added cucumber was an idea I had and I love it with the cucumber as well! What is “salad supreme” seasoning? Salad Supreme seasoning is specifically made by McCormick seasoning brand and is usually found in the spice section of the supermarket. My local Walmart carries it as well. Can I use regular Italian dressing instead of zesty? You can, but it won’t have the flavor punch that it normally does. I highly recommend going with the zesty Italian dressing for this recipe! How to make spaghetti salad: Cook and drain spaghetti, running it under cool water to stop the cooking process. Place spaghetti and cucumbers in a large mixing bowl. Pour zesty Italian dressing and seasoning into bowl. Mix well. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Can spaghetti salad be made ahead of time? Yes! In fact, this salad tastes best when made the night before. Can you freeze pasta salad? No, the flavors will not be the same and the raw cucumber would not hold up to freezing.
