I honestly cannot get enough of the beautiful harvest fruits that are in season this time of year. I walk into stores and see the fall displays and it’s almost like my heart just sighs. It’s exactly like the feeling of coming home. All year I’ve waited, and now it’s here! We have so many gatherings and family dinners during the fall, and I am in love with all of it. Chilly days mean sweaters and jeans and boots. And that always equals super adorable kiddos in their new outfits. At the moment I glance down at my ginormous belly and see this newest guy poking out at me. What a blessing he already is to us, and what blessings he already has with such a beautiful and loving and funny family waiting for him. He couldn’t have come at a better time of year, I think. This Orchard Harvest Pie is the perfect autumn dessert to make for any party or family gathering this season! Wesley was able to go apple picking last week with his preschool class and he had so much fun, he has been obsessed with all things apple. I absolutely love that this pie is not only filled with apples, but also ripe pears, tangy dried cranberries, and a sweet sugary cinnamon syrup. You can’t go wrong with a double crust pie in the fall, am I right?!
