One batch makes 2 loaves, perfect for brunch! Sweet breads, like this Peach Cobbler Bread, are one of the easiest recipes for new bakers to try. No need to mess with yeast at all, just some pantry staple ingredients, and peaches in this case of course, and you have 2 loaves of beautiful bread! If you’re using the canned peaches in this recipe, be sure to drain them well. I use a colander set over a large bowl. Do this first to allow all the liquid to drain away while you’re preparing the batter. Can I used fresh peaches instead of canned? You can substitute about 5 cups of fresh peach chunks instead of the canned in this recipe. Can I use sliced peaches instead of peach chunks? You’ll need to cut them into chunks first so that they can mix into the bread batter well. What size loaf pans do I need? You’ll need standard 9-inch loaf pans (2 of them) for this recipe. What’s in this recipe? Drain peaches well using a colander set over a large bowl. Set aside. 2. Add the dry ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer. While the mixer is on low speed, add in oil, eggs, and vanilla. 3. Gently stir in peach chunks using a large spoon. 4. Spread batter evenly into two 9-inch loaf pans that have been sprayed with non stick spray. 5. Bake, cool, and frost with glaze if desired! Does this bread freeze well? Yes! In fact, most times I make it we enjoy one loaf and one I pop into the freezer. Just wrap tightly and use within a few months for best flavor. Is it sweet enough without the glaze? Yes! I tend to skip the glaze most times, it’s great on it’s own. Gloria says August 1, 2021 at 5:48 pm I am looking for a fresh peach recipe also and this looks like it could be the one. How can I sub fresh peaches for the canned? Since the recipe is for “well drained” peaches, it should work, right? Reply
Kelly Miller says August 3, 2021 at 7:42 pm I don’t typically recommend this one with fresh peaches, the liquid content would be off and the fruit might not soften correctly with this time and temp. If you try it though, let me know if it turns out ok! Reply
Kelly Miller says August 3, 2021 at 7:44 pm I just saw a commenter reply that she’s used this with 5 cups of fresh peaches, so go ahead and give it a try! Reply
Jean Marie says February 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm I noticed the question asked more than once, but never answered: what size loaf pans? Thank you for a reply! This bread sounds amazing! Reply
Lisa says October 11, 2018 at 7:34 pm Made this today and it’s phenomenal, my husband won’t stay out of it. Thanks for sharing this ❤ Reply
Mitzi says November 27, 2018 at 3:56 am can you regular all purpose flour or just the brand you recommend. I’ve never seen this flour in N.J. Thanks Reply
Kelly Miller says November 28, 2018 at 2:34 pm Any brand of all purpose flour will work in this recipe. Hope you enjoy! Reply
Ellen says September 15, 2019 at 1:50 am If I used fresh peaches, how many would I use and would it change any of the ingredients? Reply
Sharon says November 23, 2019 at 6:25 pm I’ve made this several times and loved it. I tried something different this last time. I burned up my mixer last time I made it cause it was so thick. This last time I reserved some of the peach juice and added it to it. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I also used bread flour instead. Reply
Janis says May 24, 2020 at 9:01 pm I’d like to make the spread but need to ship it from New York to Colorado which will take about five days. Does this need to be refrigerated and do you think it will make the trip? Reply
Kelly Miller says May 26, 2020 at 5:30 pm Unfortunately, Janis, I really don’t think this bread would keep for that long being sent in the mail. The peaches keep the bread moist and I would be afraid it would mold. Reply
LINDY says July 19, 2020 at 8:13 pm ABSOLUTELY Delicious. Used fresh peaches was the only change I made. Will be making this again!!! Reply
Susan says August 5, 2020 at 8:18 pm What size loaf pans? If I use fresh peaches, (Colorado’s Palisade peaches are finally in season!) how many cups should I use? Can’t wait to make it! Reply
Marylu says August 27, 2020 at 8:49 pm I used fresh peaches and 15 oz will come out to about 5-6 peaches. Hope it helps anyone. 🙂 Reply
Doris Voigt says November 11, 2020 at 3:49 pm I make this bread every week and I Sell it at a farmers market can’t seem to make enough. I take 19 loaves and sell out every Saturday. People love it. Reply

Ellie Vino says August 23, 2022 at 8:39 am Hi Doris, Interesting comment do you mean that you are using Kelly’s recipe and selling them at your local farmer’s market as your loaves or promoting as Kelly’s loaves? Thanks and blessings! Reply
Jennifer Ray says August 26, 2022 at 11:10 pm So Doris shouldn’t sell bread at her farmers market using the ingredients she purchased and combined with her time and work invested because someone else has this recipe which I’m sure is similar to a dozen other recipes out there? That’s insane. Ellie Vino… find someone else to pick on. Reply
Kelly Miller says August 30, 2022 at 3:04 pm I truly don’t mind someone using my recipe for selling at a farmer’s market – I actually take it as a compliment. Reply
Mary Williams says February 20, 2021 at 3:41 am I have peaches sliced up with some sugar and cinnamon that I froze can I use that? Reply
Trice says March 26, 2021 at 12:22 am Just made this today…my family & I loved it! Only difference was that I added cinnamon and a little bit of the peach juice. My glaze didn’t freeze (I don’t think I gave it enough time to do so lol). Definitely gonna be making it again soon. Reply
Bette Sefcheck says March 27, 2021 at 1:06 pm Delicious taste, not too moist cakes like bread, very easy to follow recipe. So good; in fact I made a second batch the following day. Definitely a keeper! Reply
Bette Sefcheck says April 27, 2021 at 10:07 am Made a second batch as soon as I tasted the first one! This is a moist, light sweet bread that’s SO easy to make. I diced canned sliced peaches and drained them very well – an essential step. Reply
Susan Nunnery says May 31, 2021 at 4:08 am AWESOME!!! This is sooooo good! I used about 5 cups of fresh peaches. This is a keeper. Reply
Brian B says July 29, 2021 at 9:57 pm I recently tried a bread company version of this, and it wasn’t too bad, but it is a limited edition, and I live quite a distance from the West coast of the US, and don’t know if I can get it again. My question: do you have a bread machine variation of your recipe? The pictures look fantastic. Reply
Kelly Miller says August 3, 2021 at 7:40 pm Since this is a quick bread recipe, and not a yeast bread recipe, this would not work in a bread machine unfortunately. Just a regular oven for this one! Reply
Sandra Mroz says August 31, 2021 at 1:52 am My mini loaves turned out great! BUT my regular size loaves sunk in the middle… Why? I always test my quick breads before removing from oven Reply
Kelly Miller says September 1, 2021 at 1:02 pm Hmm I’m not quite sure, maybe try chopping the peaches up a bit smaller? Also maybe try blotting some of the excess moisture off the peaches, maybe there was still too much on them. I hope it works for you next time! Reply

Cookie Lance says December 5, 2021 at 9:15 pm Unbelievable! We are out of peach season so canned is all I could get! This recipe is so simple, so uncomplicated and so good! Reply
Cookie Lance says December 5, 2021 at 9:26 pm This recipe is so simple, so delicious, so amazing. The only thing I added in 1/2 the batter was a carton of raspberries! Unbelievable! On the side I took 1/2 c hot water, corn starch to thicken and added three jars of baby food peaches. It made a thick syrupy topping that you could put on it or not. The pitcher was in the table.
