Chex cereal, bagel chips, and mini pretzels with a fantastic seasoning in the slow cooker. This amazing Crockpot Chex Mix recipe made an appearance in our house on three separate occasions during the holiday break this year! We keep New Year’s Eve low key around here and play board games all day, and this Chex mix was the perfect snack for games with the family. I love the idea of making Chex mix in the Crockpot because most recipes make it in the microwave. I just think roasting the snack mix in the slow cooker makes the flavor SO much better – plus, I don’t have a bowl big enough for the microwave anyway! How long is homemade Chex Mix good for? You can keep it for weeks in the pantry as long as you keep it in a sealed container. Ours never lasts that long, though! Can I add peanuts to this Chex Mix recipe? Yes! You just need 11 cups of snacks in any combination you like. How to make Crockpot Chex Mix: In a Crockpot, add in Chex cereal, bagel chips, and pretzels. Add in melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir snack mix well, cover, and cook on low for 3 hours. Be sure to remove the lid and stir every 30 minutes – 1 hour during cooking time to prevent burning on the bottom. Cool Chex mix completely before storing in a plastic container with lid.
