Mocha Mousse By Kelly Miller • October15,2013 • Updated January 21, 2022 • 12 Comments 6.8K 22 Jump to Recipe Mocha Mousse recipe made with semi sweet chocolate chips, butter, coffee, vanilla, and whipping cream. Only 5 simple ingredients between you and this decadent mocha mousse – yum! I’ve never been a huge pudding person. I know that sounds weird, but it’s true! I’ve talked about this before on Mostly Homemade Mom, but I come from a long line of baked good lovers in my family. Unfortunately, I married someone quite the opposite. Paul LOVES pudding, ice cream, and jello so much more than anything baked. Ok and just one word about jello. Blech. :/ I started out making the instant pudding for Paul in our early years, we had it sometimes growing up, too – it just wasn’t mainly what my family did as far as desserts were concerned. Of course he wanted vanilla pudding all the time, but man oh man, chocolate instant pudding. Just mix with milk and voila – awesome chocolate fix. And believe me, I know the instant pudding is really easy. Why change a good thing, right? I give you: Chocolate Chip Mocha Mousse. While not instant, it’s really only a few more steps to the absolute best chocolate pudding you’ll have. Not even kidding. And in case you are serving this to a non-coffee lover, I would say you barely notice the coffee flavor – it’s more of a richness in the mousse. Beware, this stuff is REALLY addictive! Thrifty Frugal Mom says October 15, 2013 at 7:49 pm This sounds and looks divine! I can't wait to try it! And I love that it uses real whipped cream as opposed to Cool Whip. Oh and as a pudding lover I just have to add that I can't imagine NOT liking pudding. Maybe I should make you some of my homemade vanilla or caramel pudding and see if that changes your mind? 🙂 Reply
