Pumpkin Apple Butter By Kelly Miller • October17,2013 • Updated January 21, 2022 • 18 Comments 18.2K 93 Jump to Recipe Pumpkin Apple Butter made with chopped apple, pumpkin puree, apple juice, brown sugar, and spices. This spread is perfect for crackers or toast! What is it about fall that makes you feel so energized with getting in the kitchen and trying some new things? It can’t be just me, people! I feel like other times of the year I’m really unmotivated to get in the kitchen, I just kind of want dinner to be done and on the table and move on with my life. Ha! But this season, I don’t know. It just magically turns me into a pinning fool of yummy dinners and treats I NEED to try. Don’t get me started on all the cute/easy/adorable/etc. home decor I have come across, though. Last year I made a orange and black “boo” mini pennant banner for my entertainment center. Festive? Totally. Kid friendly? Try again. Took the thing down and laid it on the couch so I could find a container to keep it in with the rest of my holiday decorations. Somehow in the span of 5 minutes (less than that, really) the last “O” went missing and chocolate milk was splattered on the other letters. I can’t totally blame the kids, either. I just don’t have the overall energy to go out and find the stuff to make cute home decor. Food, though? Obviously, food motivates me. 🙂 This Pumpkin Apple Butter is a two-in-one recipe. You get a delicious dessert spread that combines the season’s two best flavors. Put the rest into a jelly jar and you also have an amazing gift that any friend or family would love to have. Seriously, you could sell this stuff it’s that good! No wonder why they charge so much for it in the stores. 🙂 Here are some more of my favorite fall recipes: Autumn Cheesecake Dip Crockpot Pumpkin Pie Pudding Cake Mix Sprinkle Cookies Pumpkin Apple Butter Pumpkin Apple Butter made with chopped apple, pumpkin puree, apple juice, brown sugar, and spices. Kelly Miller says November 5, 2013 at 3:07 am Sue, I'm sure you could can this but I've never canned anything before so I'm not the one to ask – ha! I just stored this in the fridge, I would say it would keep for a few months if it lasts that long. 🙂 Reply
Kelly Miller says November 5, 2013 at 3:08 am Hmm… apple cider maybe? If not, I think just water would be fine. Taste it when it's done to see if you need to add a bit more sugar. Reply
