Reames Frozen Egg Noodles and tiny shrimp in a creamy sauce – the entire family will love this one for sure! When the weather gets chilly, or downright frigid, it’s so nice to have a hot meal ready and waiting for your family. This Cheesy Shrimp Casserole fits the bill – and then some! As an added bonus, this recipe makes enough for 8 servings, so it’s perfect for company coming over for dinner or next day leftovers as well. What kind of shrimp is used in this recipe? Two 4 oz cans of tiny shrimp is needed for this recipe. You can find cans of tiny shrimp in the same aisle as canned tuna and crabmeat in any grocery store. What egg noodles are recommended for this recipe? My favorite noodles to use are Reames Frozen Egg Noodles. They are never dried, so you get a fresh flavor from these egg noodles! They are also really thick and hearty, so they taste homemade and go perfectly with recipes like this casserole. I actually found out about Reames from this famous Homemade Chicken and Noodles Recipe, and knew I had to try them! How do you make shrimp casserole? Add 24 oz. package of Reames Homestyle Egg Noodles (can be found in the frozen section) to a pot of boiling water. Stir and boil for 20 minutes. Drain noodles. Transfer noodles to a large mixing bowl. Add in tiny shrimp, celery, green onion, cheese, cream of shrimp soup, mayo, milk, and salt. Mix ingredients well. Spread into a casserole dish. Bake for 25 minutes. Top with crushed buttery crackers before serving. Can this recipe be frozen? Due to the dairy content in this recipe, it’s not suitable for freezing. Leftovers can be kept in plastic lidded containers in the fridge for up to 1 week. The recipe makes great leftovers for lunches the next day! Side dish suggestions A side salad with a light vinaigrette dressing Crusty rolls with butter Steamed fresh green vegetables If you liked this recipe for Cheesy Shrimp Pasta, please leave a rating and a comment below this post! Terri says January 3, 2019 at 8:53 pm I have a question. Can’t find cream of shrimp soup in my area. What would you substitute? Thanks!!! Reply
Kelly Miller says January 4, 2019 at 9:05 pm Do you have a Walmart near you? That’s usually where I find it around here. You could substitute cream of chicken soup in place of it though if you’re in a pinch. I hope you enjoy! Reply
Janet says January 5, 2019 at 1:13 am I found this recipe and had to use what I had on hand, so I substituted a lot of ingredients. I also cut the recipe in half, so that may have changed things. I used the full amounts for the sauce and still didn’t think it was enough. It was good concept for a recipe and I will make it again using more precise ingredients. Thank you! Reply
Cathy Schultz says March 25, 2019 at 7:43 pm I have not made this recipe because I can not find the noodles. I checked their web site and it said the noodles are not available within100 miles. Is there anything else I can use? I am looking forward to making it. Thank you, Cathy Reply
Kelly Miller says March 26, 2019 at 12:19 pm Hi Cathy, you could substitute the same amount of regular egg noodles for this recipes, just cook them according to their package directions. Reply
Tamara says November 7, 2021 at 12:35 am I went to 4 different grocery stores and couldn’t have cream of shrimp soup so I’m going to use cream of potato soup instead. Reply
