Banana Cream Pie Trifle By Kelly Miller • February11,2016 • Updated January 23, 2019 • Leave a Comment 598 Jump to Recipe Vanilla wafer cookies layered with bananas, whipped cream, and vanilla yogurt. A dessert recipe you don’t have to feel guilty about! It’s the end of the night. The kids are in bed. You settle down to catch up on Law & Order SVU. Fixer Upper. Gray’s Anatomy. Whatever show it is you’re obsessed with these days (those are only three of many for me). What are you snacking on? Some days I’m really good and I have an almond milk smoothie. Other days it’s a big bowl of ice cream. Or a plate of some sweet treat I made and photographed earlier in the day. And then of course Paul goes ahead and makes frozen pizza and I have a slice (or two). Either way, I know I HAVE to have something to munch on while I just decompress from the busy day. And what can I say, the end of the night is the WORST for me – apparently I have no willpower at that time! Something that has helped me immensely is making sure I have GOOD stuff in the kitchen and fridge at all times, and making sure the BAD stuff never enters my kitchen in the first place. Easier said than done when you’re a food blogger I have to admit! I’ve begun to put any baked goods or treats into small plastic containers in the fridge for the boys to have later – I’m much better when I don’t have it staring me in the face every time I walk into the kitchen. This Banana Cream Pie Trifle is super easy to put together at night for yourself and most of the ingredients I’ll bet you have in your kitchen right now as you’re reading! Bananas, Yoplait® Vanilla Yogurt, whipped cream, and vanilla wafer cookies – you only need 6-8 cookeis for each trifle. I swear, you will not miss the bowl of ice cream once you get your tastebuds on this dessert. In fact, you could have it for breakfast as well!  I actually let mine sit in the fridge for about 10 minutes to let the cookies soften. It was heavenly! Grabbing my favorite flavor of Yoplait® yogurt while on my weekly Walmart grocery trip is one way I try to keep healthy and fit on a day-to-day basis. I chose to customize my favorite vanilla yogurt with a banana cream pie theme, but there are countless ways to “1-Up Your Cup” of Yoplait® yogurt: stir in some granola, peanut butter, or blend it in with some frozen fruit. With over 125 different yogurt flavors available, the possibilities are endless! Check out more great ideas on their awesome Pinterest board, too! What way will you 1-Up Your Cup? Let me know in the comment section below, I’d love to hear from you! This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of General Mills. The opinions and text are all mine.
