Avocado Banana Bread By Kelly Miller • December3,2012 • Updated January 31, 2022 • 22 Comments 2.8K 8 Jump to Recipe Avocado Banana Bread made with mashed bananas, mashed avocado, olive oil, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips. This chocolate bread tastes fantastic for dessert! I’ve been substituting applesauce in baked goods for a long time. Did you know avocados work the same way? Neither did I! In most cases, just replace the same amount of butter or oil with pureed avocado. I was intrigued to try this and see if it really changed the flavor, because it sure is healthier! The only time I really ever have avocado is in sushi. Is that weird? 🙂 But I whipped this up, complete with the mashed avocado, and you know what? I can taste the avocado. But it’s really, really good! It’s subtle and it pairs perfectly with the banana and chocolate. I mean, what doesn’t go good with chocolate, right? And I can tell you one more thing, both my 3 year old and my 16 month old INHALED their slices. What, Mommy, chocolate for breakfast? I don’t mind if I do! 🙂 Avocado Banana Bread Avocado Banana Bread made with mashed bananas, mashed avocado, olive oil, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips. And Live says February 16, 2013 at 2:12 am Avocado mousee or pudding is amazing and SO easy! Just take your avocado and put it in the food processor with some cocoa powder, banana if you want, and honey or agave nectar and puree away. Add ingredients to taste so you get the perfect consistency you want. 🙂 Reply
