Maple Syrup Raisin Bread By Kelly Miller • September18,2013 • Updated February 15, 2020 • 9 Comments1.3K10 Jump to Recipe Maple Syrup Raisin Bread sweetened with maple syrup and lots of raisins! Great with butter and dipped in coffee! You know when you try and try something, but for some reason you just can’t seem to get it to work? I get REALLY frustrated! Maybe it’s the math teacher in me, I don’t know. But it’s KILLING me that I can’t seem to make bread no matter how many different ways I try. I think I just need to shelve the idea of sharing some amazingly easy yeast bread with all of you until I can actually take a cooking class. Maybe it’s just one of those things you have to learn by doing, you know? Hey, if any family members are reading (and I know you are) a cooking class would be a great Christmas present… hint hint. Although… with my crazy mixed up schedule… maybe just a book about baking bread. One that makes it really easy, because apparently that’s what I need haha! Can anyone recommend one?Quick breads though like this Maple Syrup Raisin Bread – I’m all over those! I especially love that this one is only sweetened with maple syrup, no white or brown sugar. Next time I plan to try it with whole wheat flour, what a great bread for an autumn breakfast! This is great just snacking on it, but my favorite is with some butter and dunked into my coffee. Yum! Ok, so while this bread is amazing and I could make quick breads like this all day long, I WILL conquer making real bread if it kills me, people!! 🙂 If you liked this Maple Syrup Raisin Bread recipe, leave a rating and a comment below this post! Joybee says September 21, 2013 at 5:30 pm Yum. This sounds very good. I'm thinking you could add some brown sugar and rolled oats (that is my favorite oatmeal–maple brown sugar). I saw this on Show Stopper Saturday–new facebook like. Reply
LibrarianLizy says September 25, 2013 at 7:48 pm I wrote a post like 3 years ago that is a step-by-step guide to making sandwich bread. I firmly believe that everyone can do it as long as you have yeast that's alive and a good rising spot for your bread. The pictures in the posts are terrible, but I think you'll get the idea. I rarely eat store-bought bread at all now so I bake a lot of bread. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. It's not nearly as hard as you think. 🙂 http://lifelovelibrarianship.com/step-by-step-guide-to-making-your-own-2/ http://lifelovelibrarianship.com/step-by-step-guide-to-making-your-own_27-2/ Reply
