Maple Glazed Ham with Cranberries and Sweet Potatoes By Kelly Miller • November30,2016 • Updated February 15, 2020 • Leave a Comment 292 Jump to Recipe This Maple Glazed Ham with Cranberries and Sweet Potatoes is a great recipe that combines all the best flavors of the season and a great idea to use leftover slices of your holiday ham! You know it’s the holidays around the house when you smell the ham baking in the oven. It just has that aroma of “special occasion” food that immediately brings me back to Christmas dinners around our dining room table in my childhood home. I want to give you a warning though – this recipe is so easy, you’re going to want to serve it to your family year-round! I can remember Christmas dinner as a kid, all dressed up with black Mary Jane shoes, tights, and red plaid dresses. My mom would put ribbons in our hair and, most years, my sister and I were dressed alike. Of course on Christmas morning we’d be in our pajamas, but as soon as lunch time came around, we’d do our hair and put on our dresses, just for the family to come over for dinner. I loved getting all dressed up and as I grew up, I looked forward to doing the same with my own kids! And then God decided to bless me with three boys, and that idea proceeded to go right out the window – ha! There was one year that Silas loved wearing ties to church every week, but that was fleeting. Now I’m just happy they have their faces wiped and all wearing clean pants before we venture over to my Mom’s house to exchange presents with the rest of the family on Christmas day. I can’t blame it all on them though – having three coordinating kid outfits is pretty stressful! And honestly, the boys couldn’t care in the least. As far as the holiday dinner is concerned, you don’t need to look any further than the Smithfield Spiral Sliced Ham – it’s the perfect centerpiece to your table and is available in a variety of glaze flavors, so it’s so simple to prepare. You can even cook sweet potatoes and cranberries right along with the ham in one roasting pan! This ham is absolutely fabulous! And that amazing maple syrup glaze on both the ham and sweet potatoes is irresistable! If you liked this Maple Glazed Ham and Sweet Potatoes recipe, leave a rating and a comment below this post!
