Brown Sugar Ham in Crockpot (VIDEO) By Kelly Miller • March28,2019 • 2 Comments 532 4 Jump to Recipe Jump to Video Brown Sugar Ham in the Crockpot is seriously the best holiday dinner ever! With a brown sugar rub and slow cooked in cola, this ham is a winner! This Brown Sugar Ham in Crockpot recipe is so easy, you won’t have to wait for a special holiday dinner to make it! I love planning this for a weeknight dinner and then enjoying leftovers the rest of the week. You can also freeze leftover slices to be used in other recipes that call for ham as well! What do I do if the ham I bought is too big for my Crockpot? As long as you find one that’s under 6.5 lbs, it should fit – but you can just trim it to fit as well if needed. Where can I find ground mustard for this recipe? Ground mustard is the yellow dry seasoning found along with the other seasonings, usually in the baking aisle. This is NOT the same as prepared yellow mustard that you store in the fridge. How to make Brown Sugar Ham in Crockpot: In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, cola, ground mustard, and horseradish. Place ham in the bottom of an oval shaped Crockpot (trim it to fit if needed). Spread the brown sugar mixture all over the ham. Pour remaining cola along the sides of the ham. Cover and cook on LOW setting until juices are boiling and ham is heated through. Can I cook this on HIGH setting instead for shorter time? You can cook this on high for 2.5 – 3 hours, but the ham will definitely not be as tender! What can I do with leftover ham? We love leftover slices of ham along with eggs the next morning. Cubed ham is great on salads, wraps and sandwiches, too!
