At least 85% lean ground beef is best for this soup, the leaner the better for maximum flavor combination. How to make this hamburger soup recipe: In a stock pot, brown ground beef, diced onion, and diced celery. Drain and return to pot. Add in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, kidney beans, shredded cabbage, potatoes, and spices. Heat on high heat and bring to a boil.
