Such a great way to celebrate Easter! Hello, my name is Kelly. I’m a mom and… I hate play-dough. (GASP!) Honestly, I don’t just mean lowercase hate. I mean H.A.T.E. the stuff! The smell literally turns my stomach. Whenever the kids are playing with it I make them wash their hands with soap and water when they’re done, and you know, I can still detect the awful smell! Walmart had 4 packs of the really unusual bright colored play-dough for $1 on Black Friday. Seriously, what in God’s name was I thinking?! It must have been one of those afternoons where I thought I was supermom or something – or wanted to be anyway! Poor Wesley BEGS me to play with the stuff and I’m always finding excuses. In my defense, they never clean it up completely. There’s always leftover tiny little play-dough balls stuck to the kitchen table that I HAVE TO CLEAN UP. Oh and I love when a small bit of it gets dropped on the floor, rolls under the table, and everybody forgets about it until it’s hard as a rock. And yes, I can still smell it! I have finally found the perfect alternative to play-dough: these sugar cookies! As you’re rolling them, the dough feels exactly the same only this time it smells like sugar cookies. This would be such a fun activity to do the day before Easter and then tuck them into your kids’ Easter baskets. Super yummy, too! How cute are these! I’m planning on making a double batch for Easter with the kids helping me. Such a fun tradition to start, too!
