Citrus Broccoli Salad By Kelly Miller • June11,2013 • Updated January 25, 2022 • 6 Comments 1.2K 2 Jump to Recipe This Citrus Broccoli Salad combines oranges, craisins, sunflower seeds, and broccoli for a tangy and flavorful side dish – perfect for your next picnic or BBQ! We’re big on side dish salads in our family. My Mom and Grandmom are known for their potato salad, spaghetti salad, and macaroni salad. It’s just not a BBQ at our house unless there’s an assortment of salads to go with the grilled burgers and dogs! Now I’ve had some AMAZING broccoli salads in my day, and I feel somewhat of an expert because broccoli is just about my favorite veggie. At our old church in Philadelphia, one of the amazing older ladies makes a broccoli salad with bacon – I mean come on. That’s a winner before you’ve even tasted it, right? This Citrus Broccoli Salad? It’s SO much different than the typical mayo slathered version. The salted sunflower seeds give it a great nutty crunch and is great with the semi-sweet dressing. The oranges and craisins just take it over the top! If you liked this Citrus Broccoli Salad recipe, leave a rating and a comment below this post!
