Top them with a swirl of Nutella® and your family will be set for the day! Weekday mornings in the Miller household are absolutely crazy most days! Kids need to get dressed. Lunches need to be made. Homework needs to be double checked. Coffee needs to be brewed. You get the idea! Honestly though, who wouldn’t have an extra pep in their step knowing these Buttermilk Muffins with Nutella® hazelnut spread were waiting for them in the morning? ? Believe it or not, I had never tried Nutella® hazelnut spread until I was an adult and I’m so sad I missed out on that delicious flavor until recently! I introduced my kids to Nutella® not that long ago, and it was a huge hit. Since then, I’ve been on the hunt for different foods that are easy just to have them spread some on it themselves. We all thought Nutella® was absolutely delicious spread on these warm buttermilk muffins! Breakfast always stresses me out these days because I mother complainers. Yes, you heard that correctly, my kids are the WORST in the morning with deciding what they want for breakfast and, at the same time, letting me know that there is nothing that we have that they want to eat. I usually resort to giving them cold cereal more times than I’d like to admit due to their indecisiveness! These boys are definitely not morning people. I wonder who they get that from? Our cluttered kitchen table is proof that the morning stress doesn’t end there – my kiddos always seem to leave things to the very last minute. Binders, notebooks, trading cards, and fidget spinners are usually laying there until about 5 minutes before their bus is set to arrive. Drives me absolutely batty! It may take an extra effort the night before, but making a batch of these muffins make our mornings wonderful! The only prep required is opening the jar of Nutella® hazelnut spread and spreading a swirl on top – now that’s an easy breakfast! These are also great to grab on the way out the door if your kiddos have missed the bus. Ask me how I know! ?
