Devil’s Food cake mix with a chocolate pressed inside, topped with cream cheese frosting: the perfect chocolate cupcake for Valentine’s Day! I am an absolute chocoholic and I make no apologies about it! My husband knows this, my kids know this, and I’m fully embracing that identity. If you want to make me happy, bring me chocolate! My kiddos recently have been interested in cooking with me and I’m really enjoying them in the kitchen! They received a cookbook for Christmas and we try to make a new recipe together each week. Last week, I wanted to have them decorate some Valentine’s Day themed cupcakes to give away to some friends we’ll be seeing next week on a playdate. We had so much fun! This idea is so simple: just bake up a box of Pillsbury™Devil’s Food cupcakes as usual, press a Valentine’s Day chocolate in the center of each cooled cupcake, and frost using the Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag. The Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bags are great for baking with kids – the bag has an attached star tip and is sealed, so the cupcakes looks great with minimal mess! We also had some super cute sprinkles to top the cupcakes. It was so fun to see which chocolate was in each cupcake – and such a fun surprise treat for a friend, as well! This funny guy was trying to figure out if it was peanut butter or marshmallow filling! ? I love making special treats with these boys, we always have a fun time – and these ingredients really made the process super easy. No need to mess with filling a pastry bag with frosting and dealing with frosting tips or anything – just tear off the very end of the Pillsbury Filled Pastry bag along the perforated lines, and it’s ready to decorate! These new pastry bags are available in three flavors, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge, and Cream Cheese (my favorite).
