We LOVE banana bread around here, and my kids would go NUTS for the addition of the cherries and chocolate. So perfect for Valentine's Day! Pinned and sharing on FB!

ReplyDeleteI love the chocolate and cherry combination...yum!
ReplyDeleteChocolate and cherry is such an underappreciated flavor combo... love that you've brought it to banana bread! Yum :)
ReplyDeleteWell, it too me long enough to find out how good this recipe is. My DW presented me with 3 very ripe bananas and wanted to throw them out. So I looked up Banana Bread Recipes and decided to try yours. WOW, how moist and just super great. I did add 2 more large bananas that were not overripe, and it worked out real well. I added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Absolutely excellent. I baked 8 in large muffin pans and 1 in a mini bread pan. The muffins were ready in 30 minutes and the bread pan took an additional 15 minutes. This is now a must to make at least once per month if not more often. Thank you for posting and sharing this great recipe with us. "Uncle Bill" And here is mine banana bread http://www.hochzeitsfotografnurnberg.de/images/bb1.jpg
