DIY Microwave Popcorn and LeapPad Ultra Pre-Order! #LeapPadPreOrder

Before I get to this AMAZING and EASY recipe on how to make homemade microwave popcorn (seriously you will not believe how simple this is), do you remember my post last week about the new LeapPad Ultra? Well, it's now available for pre-order! If you have a kiddo, like mine, who loves playing on the iPad - this is perfect for them!

Update - the LeapPad Ultra is now sold out on LeapFrog.com, but you can still preorder through partnering retailers HERE.

The LeapPad Ultra essentially a fun and educational tablet that is built tough for kids (which is great for mine, let me tell you). It comes with a 7" screen for kids to play, write, and even draw along with the various educator approved games. The LeapPad Ultra can connect via Wi-fi to kid friendly sites - what a great way to allow your kids to explore the internet in a completely safe a secure way.

The LeapPad Ultra is now available for pre-order at Leap Frog's website, as well as several other retailers: Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, Kmart, Best Buy, and Barnes and Noble. I know a certain four year old who would go crazy for this!

Speaking of my four year old, he has had a recent obsession with popcorn. And you won't believe how easy it is to make your own microwaveable popcorn at home. Are you ready for this super complicated and involved recipe with tons of crazy ingredients?

DIY Microwave Popcorn

1/4 cup popcorn kernels
1 tsp oil
2 tsp salt

Place ingredients in a brown paper lunch bag. Fold over twice. Shake. Place bag in microwave and cook for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes.

I know, right?! But I am telling you - it tastes SO good! Make your own melted butter and pour it over with some additional salt if you want, but we just eat it as is. Yum!!

This recipe was so easy, I made a shareable graphic for you - enjoy!

Great idea! I resist buying microwave popcorn because it's so cheap to buy the kernels, but then I resist making homemade popcorn very often because of the mess and time involved. Best of both worlds here!

  4. Hi! Found this post on Project Stash blog hop on Seven Alive. I love making popcorn this way. It's the only way I make popcorn now, but I honestly never tried adding the salt and oil into the bag before popping. I normally add salt and melted butter after, but next time I make it I will try your way :) Now following via Bloglovin'
