Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken Sandwiches By Kelly Miller • October4,2012 • Updated December 2, 2021 • 20 Comments 3.7K 39 You gotta love recipes that come together originally as a mistake! I had planned on making my Chicken with Pineapple Sauce for dinner a while ago, but … I was lazy. I decided I was going to try and just dump it in the Crock-Pot and see what happened. While the flavor was AMAZING, the chicken completely fell apart. I had some great rolls to use up and these sandwiches were born! This is definitely one of those easy, dump and go crockpot recipes. Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken Sandwiches 2 large (or 3 small) boneless, skinless chicken breasts 2 tablespoons brown sugar 8 oz crushed pineapple in juice 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (as needed) 4 crusty rolls 4 slices colby jack cheese Spray bottom and sides of Crock-Pot with cooking spray and place chicken inside. In small bowl, mix together brown sugar, crushed pineapple, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ginger. Pour over chicken. Cook on high 3 hours or low 6 hours. When done, remove chicken and shred with two forks, then return to Crock-Pot and mix well to incorporate sauce. Add teriyaki sauce as desired (ours was just fine without). Serve on rolls with colby jack cheese. Easy and delish! Here are some slow cooker goodies I recommend: **This post contains affiliate links.
