An easy treat to make and give! You will never find a “regular” fudge recipe on this blog. Why? Because “regular” fudge to me cannot be made at home. It must be bought. Down the [Jersey] shore. On the boardwalk. In the summer. I’m not even remotely kidding! Most people think of eating fudge only at Christmas. Growing up, fudge ALWAYS made me think of summer. The fudge you buy on the boardwalk though, is the real deal. The kind where you probably have to use candy thermometers and double boilers and other nonsense like that. This mom ain’t got time for that! 🙂 This recipe is so addicting. It’s definitely a different twist on fudge, I would say it’s more grainy in texture but I really like it that way. I’ve written on here before about how weird Paul is with desserts (the man really could take it or leave it). And by leave it, I mean he has literally left peanut butter desserts go bad sitting out in the open on the stove all week. I mean come on. This little old fudge, sitting in the fridge? Closed up tight inside a lock-&-lock container? He sneaks pieces all day! This recipe is a winner. What a great addition to your cookie tray! Kim of Mo'Betta says December 14, 2013 at 12:33 pm I love fudge, but I am one who only has it at Christmas. I make a traditional old-fashioned fudge that requires a candy thermometer….but it is sooooo good! However, I'm always up for a quick and easy recipe…I'm pinning to try this soon! Reply
Kelly Miller says December 14, 2013 at 3:18 pm Kim, I'd love to try to make traditional fudge someday but I think I might have to wait until my kids are much older! Too many times I've burned something because I was getting someone "milky" or whatever. Ha! Reply
Kelly Miller says December 14, 2013 at 3:19 pm It really changes up the flavor, let me know what you think Joan! Reply
