- 1 cup water
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tea bags
- 1 cup apple juice
- 4 slices apple
- sweetener to taste
Bring water, cloves, and cinnamon sticks to a boil in a small saucepan.
Turn off heat, add tea bags, cover, and allow to steep for 3 minutes.
Remove tea bags and stir in apple juice.
Turn the heat back on to low and simmer until heated through.
To serve, place two apple slices in the bottom of two mugs.
Pour hot tea over apples, being careful to strain out cloves and cinnamon sticks.
Sweeten to taste.
