A warm bowl of Irish Oatmeal is perfect on a chilly morning! Steel cut oats with brown sugar, cinnamon, and raisins - filling and delicious!

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • handful of raisins


  • In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Stir in oats.
  • Lower the heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.
  • Divide among 3 bowls. Top with optional raisins before serving.
