Coca Cola Chicken

Coca Cola Chicken recipe made with chicken breast, cola, brown sugar, garlic, and soy sauce. Made in the slow cooker and served over rice!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup cola
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • white rice cooked

Instructions

  • Spray the inside of slow cooker with non-stick spray.
  • Place chicken in bottom of insert.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together cola, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, and soy sauce.
  • Pour over chicken and cook for 6 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
  • Remove chicken from Crockpot and cover tightly with foil.
  • Pour sauce into a small skillet and turn on high heat.
  • In a small bowl, stir together corn starch and water.
  • Gradually stir in corn starch mixture into sauce.
  • Bring to a boil and keep boiling for about 5 minutes until sauce thickens a bit.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool 5 minutes (sauce will continue to thicken as it cools).
  • Serve chicken over rice with drizzled sauce, or in a small bowl for dipping.
