Root Beer Pulled Pork
Root Beer Pulled Pork recipe made with boneless pork roast, root beer, seasonings, and bbq sauce.
Servings 8 servings
- 3 lb boneless pork roast
- 20 oz root beer
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
- 20 oz bbq sauce
- big crusty rolls
Place pork roast in slow cooker and pour root beer over the roast.
Cook on low for about 5 hours. For pulled pork, look for a internal temperature around 200 - 210 degrees F.
(If you have time, allow the roast to rest until the temp goes down to about 170 for optimum flavor, this usually takes about an hour.)
Remove roast and drain slow cooker insert.
Return roast to slow cooker, shred with forks (I used my tongs), and add bbq sauce.
Mix to combine and cook on low one additional hour until heated through.
Serve on rolls.
