- 1/4 cup butter
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 12 oz beer
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Melt butter over low heat in a small saucepan.
Add in minced garlic and cook just until you start smelling the garlic, about 1 minute.
Remove pan from heat and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Add in beer and melted butter mixture.
Stir until ingredients are just moistened. Batter will be lumpy.
Stir in the shredded cheese.
Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with non stick spray.
Evenly divided batter among the 12 cups.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes or until tops are golden and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove muffins to a wire rack to cool before serving.
