- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup applesauce
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together butter, sugar, and eggs.
Add in applesauce and beat until well combined.
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Gradually add flour mixture into applesauce mixture while on low speed until all ingredients are incorporated.
Gently fold in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7 - 10 minutes or until cookies are slightly brown on edges.
Cool completely on wire racks and store cookies in a plastic container with a tight fitting lid.
