- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion diced
- 3 stalks celery diced
- 28 oz diced tomatoes undrained
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 3 cups water
- 5 oz shredded cabbage or cole slaw mix
- 16 oz can kidney beans drained and rinsed
- 3 potatoes peeled and chopped
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
Add ground beef, diced onion, and diced celery to a large soup pot or dutch oven.
Brown ground beef over medium high heat.
Drain and return to pan.
Add in remaining ingredients.
Stir well and bring to a boil over high heat.
Once boiling, stir again.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Remove from heat and allow soup to rest for 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
