Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a mixer, cream together butter, sugars, and peanut butter.
  • Add in egg and vanilla on medium speed.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until fully mixed.
  • Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Flatten with a glass dipped in flour, or a fork in a criss-cross pattern if desired.
  • Bake at 375 for 6-9 minutes, until edges begin to brown.
  • Cool on wire racks.
