Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches made with deli sliced roast beef, gravy, cheese, ketchup and Kosher pickles on crusty rolls. Napkin required!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb deli roast beef freshly sliced
  • 12 oz jar savory beef gravy
  • water
  • 8 crusty club rolls
  • 1 kosher dill pickle
  • 1/2 lb American cheese sliced thin
  • ketchup optional

Instructions

  • In a large sauce pan, stir together roast beef, gravy, and half of a jar's worth of water.
  • Heat to boiling stirring occasionally, then cover and reduce heat to simmer for about 20 minutes or until beef is hot.
  • If preparing for a party, the beef can be then transferred to a Crockpot and kept on low.
  • Split rolls and place cheese and then beef on top.
  • Serve with slices of kosher pickle, ketchup, and additional gravy if desired.
