- 3 - 5 lb whole roaster chicken
- 2 lemons
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 2 garlic cloves peeled
Slice lemons in half and squeeze juice out of lemons into a small bowl. Reserve used lemons slices.
Add bbq sauce to lemon juice in bowl and mix until well blended.
Remove giblets from inside of roaster chicken cavity.
Place roaster chicken in Crockpot and pat dry with a paper towel.
Rub lemon slices all over outside of chicken and place lemon slices inside cavity of chicken.
Place whole garlic cloves inside cavity of chicken.
Spread prepared bbq sauce-lemon juice mixture over the chicken.
Cover and cook on high setting for 4 hours.
Remove cover and check temperature of chicken in several places to make sure it's reached at least 165 degrees F.
Allow chicken to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
