Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 cups refrigerated apple cider
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • In the bottom of a heavy saucepan, mix together sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, and spices.
  • Stir in apple cider and lemon juice.
  • Heat over medium heat stirring occasionally until starting to boil.
  • Allow to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • Serve warm over waffles and pancakes.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed jar.
