- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 cups refrigerated apple cider
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
In the bottom of a heavy saucepan, mix together sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, and spices.
Stir in apple cider and lemon juice.
Heat over medium heat stirring occasionally until starting to boil.
Allow to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Serve warm over waffles and pancakes.
Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed jar.
