Triple Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 15 oz box Devil's food cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 cups miniature chocolate chips
  • 6 tbsp butter softened to room temperature
  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line 24 muffin cups with paper liners. In a mixing bowl, beat cake mix, eggs, water, and oil for two minutes.
  • Gently stir in chocolate chips. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, about 3 tablespoons in each.
  • Bake at 350 for length of time directed on box. Cool completely.
  • In another mixing bowl, stir together cocoa powder and powdered sugar. Add in butter, vanilla extract, and 5 tablespoons milk.
  • Beat well. Add an additional tablespoon of milk for better consistency if needed.
  • Pipe or spread onto cupcakes. Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles.
