Cinnamon Roll Cake

This Cinnamon Roll Cake is perfect for when you don't have time for individual cinnamon rolls! Swirls of cinnamon sugar and a glaze makes this cake great for breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients

Cake:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter melted

Cinnamon filling:

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brewed coffee

Instructions

  • Beat all cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon filling ingredients until well combined. Drop by spoonfuls onto batter in baking dish. Use a knife to swirl filling around in cake batter gently.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool completely.

For the glaze

  • Whisk butter and powdered sugar. Mix in coffee a little at time until you have a pour-able glaze consistency. Pour evenly over cooled cake and allow glaze to set before slicing and serving.
