BBQ Chicken Sandwiches made with leftover cooked chicken breast, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Serve these on potato rolls with cheddar cheese!
1. Add the chicken, ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, apple cider vinegar, and dried minced onion in a large pot. Stir well and heat to boiling over high heat.
Lay the hamburger rolls facing up on a large cookie sheet. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each half. Broil for 3 – 5 minutes or just until cheese is melted.
How to store leftovers:Allow the bbq chicken to cool completely. Then store in a plastic container or a freezer bag in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave until hot.
Freezer directions:Be sure the bbq chicken is cooled to room temperature. Then transfer to a freezer container or a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and then reheat on the stove top or in the microwave until hot.
