For the first step, combine the sugar the and cornstarch in a heavy bottomed saucepan.

Next, pour water into the sugar and cornstarch and whisk or stir until smooth.

Add the blueberries to the pan. Frozen blueberries work well, too - no need to thaw them, either!

Bring the mixture to a boil, then set the timer for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
