Baked until melty and good! Oh my goodness, is there anything better than a giant baking dish filled with hot and melty taco dip?! I’ve been searching for a simple and easy one, and this Taco Dip Recipe is absolutely perfect! When you’re making this dip, don’t stress to much about completely mixing each layer. It will all melt together wonderfully in the oven without much effort on your part. Basically, just assemble, bake, and serve. You can’t get easier than that! For the recipe video tutorial, scroll down to the recipe card below! Can this taco dip recipe be made up ahead of time? Yes! Spread the layers into the baking dish, cover, and refrigerate. Then just bake as usual (you may need an extra 5 minutes or so). Can I substitute low fat ingredients in this recipe? Yes, just use reduced fat sour cream, cream cheese, and/or shredded cheese as desired. Can I buy refried beans or do I need to make them first? You can find canned refried beans in the taco aisle of the supermarket. Of course you could use your own homemade refried beans if you have the time! How to make this taco dip recipe: In a small bowl, stir together refried beans and taco seasoning. In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream and softened cream cheese. Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray. Spread refried bean mixture into the bottom evenly. Top beans evenly with the cream cheese mixture. Add salsa evenly and shredded cheese on top. Bake until hot and melted. What is served with this taco dip recipe? This dip is best with scoops-type tortilla chips. Regular tortilla chips would work well also. Can leftovers be refrigerated? Sure! Just cover the dip and refrigerate, and then reheat in the oven or microwave when ready.
