The perfect, EASY way to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with your family! Can you believe how easy that looks?! It totally is!! I’m so ready for Thanksgiving and I can’t wait to make this Crockpot Thanksgiving Dinner for my family this year. WOW does it feel like November today, woohoo! For the past two days I’ve been contemplating turning the air conditioner on in our house. Between the weird, humid, mid-70 degree weather, and a newborn constantly sleeping on me, it was HOT in this house! Reuben was loving it though, this baby needs to be snuggled and cuddly warm to fall deep asleep. I’m honestly on the hunt for a few more fleece footed pajamas for him for when the weather starts getting really cold! I know every phase lasts for a small time, but he’s really turning out to be a great sleeper already. I’m knocking on wood at the moment, can you tell?! In all honesty, both Silas and Wesley were fantastic sleepers from very early on, so we really can’t complain about that. Silas was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks old, and Wesley was sleeping 10 hours straight, only waking up once in the middle of the night to eat. Reuben already, at 5 weeks old, is sleeping 3-4 hours at a time! …so can someone explain to me why in the heck I’m still SO tired all the time?! Crockpot Thanksgiving Dinner … so easy! Despite how exhausted I am these days, this Crockpot Thanksgiving Dinner is getting me all excited to spend the upcoming holidays with these three crazy kids. This is the perfect turkey dinner for a small Thanksgiving celebration at your house – the bird, stuffing, and veggies all cook together! Plus your oven is completely freed up to bake pies for dessert. My favorite part! Crockpot Thanksgiving Dinner A whole Crockpot Thanksgiving Dinner! Remove turkey to a platter, straining the juices into the slow cooker.Allow turkey to rest 5 minutes before slicing. Use reserved juices to moisten stuffing and turkey slices as needed. Kelly Miller says April 10, 2019 at 1:33 pm You probably could use a tenderloin instead, though I’ve never tried that. Let me know how it turns out, Regina! Reply
Kelly Miller says November 20, 2019 at 4:51 pm No I wouldn’t – the stuffing would either be overcooked or extremely soggy. Reply
Carolyn says January 19, 2020 at 8:34 pm Made this today and it was very good. I cooked it on low and it was done in a little less than 6 hours. I made the mistake of adding more broth than the recipe called for, thinking it wasn’t going to be moist enough, but it turned out it was too much liquid, but that was my fault. The turkey was delicious – moist and tender and the veggies were nicely done. Next time I’ll follow the recipe exactly. Reply
Anneie says November 19, 2020 at 7:22 am Can you use baked pot8instead of sweet potatoes?? Thanks Reply
Kelly Miller says November 19, 2020 at 5:25 pm You could, but the flavor would be a bit different. Let me know how it turns out if you try it that way! Reply
eric goldberg says November 25, 2020 at 8:46 am Making this tomorrow and the turkey breast I have is Bone-in (4-5 lb) Do you think will be a problem ? Thanks . Reply
Kelly Miller says November 25, 2020 at 2:23 pm I would give it the full 8-10 hours to make sure it’s done since bone-in meat takes longer than boneless. I would just make sure it fits fully in the Crockpot, though! Reply
Cristin G. says December 1, 2020 at 1:22 am Hi Kelly! I was so excited to do a Thanksgiving 2020 part 2 for my fiancé and I using your recipe! Because we did this right after thanksgiving, there were no more 3lb whole turkeys to be found in store so we used 2 bone-in Turkey thighs which clocked in at about 3 lbs together. We laid these into the bottom of our 4.5qt crock pot (tight fit but it worked) and followed the rest of the recipe as normal! We cooked on high for about 6 hours and WOW – it’s delicious! The meat fell right off the bone and, while the stuffing was still crunchy on the top (probably because we used a smaller crockpot), a few stirs in the juices left them with a perfect consistency! We are storing it in our crockpot in the fridge and reheating in the oven as we work through it for dinner this week – if you have any good storage or reheating suggestions, let me know! Thanks for this awesome recipe! Can’t wait to make again! Reply
Kelly Miller says December 1, 2020 at 1:22 pm Cristin, I’m SO glad you and your fiance loved this recipe!! I’m glad to hear the 2 bone in turkey thighs worked out well! As far as reheating, you could reheat it in the oven though if the Crockpot is chilled with it, it might take quite a bit to warm it up. I’d probably store it in a tupperware container in the fridge and then transfer it to an oven-safe dish, or even microwave heating a serving at a time would work as well. I hope you continue to enjoy it! Have a wonderful season! Reply

Kelly Miller says December 22, 2020 at 6:02 pm Yes you can use any flavor Stove Top stuffing mix in this recipe, I just prefer using the cornbread variety. Any variety will work the same, though. I hope you enjoy it, Wayne! Reply
