Creamed Peas make an outstanding side dish! Sweet peas in a creamy stove-top sauce - the best cream peas recipe!

I had been thinking of trying a Creamed Peas recipe ever since my Homemade Crockpot Creamed Corn turned out so well. That's actually one of my top posts to date! I figured if it works well with corn, it should work well with peas.

Well I must been late on the uptake with that because apparently Creamed Peas (or Cream Peas) is already a thing! Who knew? ...Ok, well, maybe you did, but clearly I didn't! 😄

I'm always on the hunt for new side-dish recipes and ideas. I usually have the main dish figured out and planned for the week, but side dishes are always the hard part for me. Everyone is so picky! One kid likes mashed potatoes, one likes peas, one likes potato wedges, and no one likes the same thing - of course!

Actually I have to be honest, both of my older boys like peas so this Creamed Peas recipe is basically a winner already without them even having had it yet. One of the things I'm so excited about growing this spring are lots of fresh peas to enjoy in this Creamed Peas side dish!

While the recipe above only makes 3 servings, this is an easy one to double all of the ingredients and have a large side dish for a bigger family. That's my plan next time because this had absolutely no leftovers the night I made it for my family!
