All of my favorite healthy low carb dinners and desserts in one post - perfect for families!
It's January 2nd and it's officially the time of year when we start New Year's resolutions and of course, by far, the most popular resolution is to lose weight - right? I'm actually very proud of myself because I started a healthy eating plan back at the beginning of December! I know myself and being surrounded by all the sweet treats at Christmas time is just not good for me - I have zero self control it seems! I went back to cutting out most sugar and separating my healthy fats and healthy carbs with the Trim Healthy Mama approach to losing weight.
About 4 years ago, I had about 20 stubborn pounds to lose and I had tried just counting calories which just didn't work for me. When I taste something I like, I overeat! So I had used Trim Healthy Mama back then and actually lost 24 pounds and I felt great! I really felt like it helped rev up my metabolism so that when I had an "off-plan" meal or treat, it didn't cause me to gain weight -as long as I didn't overdo it.
I will say though, it is a drastic change to the normal American diet and there's a definite learning curve. I was so pleasantly surprised to see that going back to the plan in December to finally lose this baby weight from Reuben, that there's an updated plan book and now a cookbook as well! There's also a TON of Facebook groups to join to ask questions when needed.
