Tangy Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

Grilled Chicken Drumsticks in a tangy marinade of apple cider vinegar, thyme, basil, and oregano. Such a great summer dinner!

We just recently moved into a townhouse closer to Paul's seminary and I think I might have a problem. I've become obsessed with Craigslist and my Facebook yard sale groups! I of course look for clothes for the kids, but I'm mainly searching for furniture. I just have a few "spots" that I think would be perfect for.... well, something! 

I would tell you to send help to get me to stop, but I really don't want you to. It's really fun. :)

When we first moved in, I found a matching Ikea Ektorp loveseat to go with out couch for only $100! I can't even tell you how much I love that couch, we actually bought it on our way home from our honeymoon and it's held up wonderfully ever since. We can finally fit a loveseat as well in this new house so I was SUPER excited to find someone selling theirs!

Through the years, I've been able to score some amazing Craigslist finds: a gorgeous inlaid cherry wood King headboard, our entire mission style dining table and chairs... I have to say though, my favorite find thus far is this wonderful refinished buffet! 

A local mom refinishes old furniture and she did an outstanding job on this buffet - I can't stop looking at it! I love the large top for entertaining when we have people over for dinner, or even possibly using it as our coffee bar. And this thing is HUGE inside! Anything that gives me extra storage is perfect for this family and all our activities! Ashlie really did an amazing job, I wish I had the patience and skill to refinish furniture as beautifully as she does!

I'm loving this new grilled chicken drumsticks recipe almost as much as my new buffet! The marinade takes minutes to stir together, the chicken chills out in the marinade for a while, and it's ready to go when your grill is nice and hot! I reserved some marinade in a separate container to baste the chicken as it was grilling (remember, don't ever use the marinade that chicken was sitting on for basting - you want to throw that out). This was amazing with some steamed broccoli and garlic. Yum!

Tangy Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

10 chicken drumsticks (give or take one or two)
2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 egg
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup olive oil
2 teaspoons thyme
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Pat chicken dry and place in a large plastic container. In a separate bowl, whisk the apple cider vinegar and the egg together. Stir in butter, olive oil, and spices. Reserve 1/2 cup of marinade in a separate container. Pour remaining marinade over chicken. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Take the lid off and allow chicken to come to room temperature. Remove from container and discard used marinade. Grill chicken according to your personal preference, I used my George Foreman grill and they were done in about 12 minutes. Be sure to baste with the separately reserved marinade about half-way through cooking time. Allow chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Oh man, these were SO good! The boys have declared these they're favorite chicken ever, haha! I'd say that's a homerun. :)
