Hello there and Happy New Year's Eve! I've had so much fun recapping the year's recipes for you this week. I said this before, it's been a real eye opener which ones were the most popular with you. It's definitely given me some ideas going forward in 2013, that's for sure!
Today is the final day of our Countdown to 2013 series, and probably my most favorite. The five top visited posts OF THE YEAR are listed below! Here's a list of all the recap posts this week:
Before I get to today's top overall posts, I just want to say thank you to the best readers in the world! I have had so much fun this year sharing my favorite recipes and ideas with you all and your comments just make my day. I'm so happy I started this little hobby of mine and I can't wait to see where 2013 takes Semi Homemade Mom!
First off, I definitely need to take an update picture of this one. :) I've made this MANY times this year, sometimes even adding potatoes wrapped in foil over the chicken. A complete, delicious meal in my favorite appliance ever!
The 2nd most visited post of the year... over 400,000 pageviews!
I actually tried this recipe on a whim, I really liked the idea of a chicken taco filling made in the Crock Pot. This recipe is a winner and obviously you agree! If you haven't tried it yet, it's simply a must for families. So easy and absolutely delicious!
Well, there you have it! I am truly humbled by how many of you stop by and read each day. I pray God gives you much health and happiness in the New Year. I'll leave you with a favorite verse...
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

I really have had such a great time looking over the year's recipes and seeing which ones were the most popular. It's really been an eye-opener for me! Today I'm focusing on the year's best snack and drink recipes, these are so yummy! Perfect if you're still looking for something to make on New Year's Eve. I love Christmas week because this week I'm joining with some of my favorite bloggers and we're counting down our most popular recipes of 2012. Today's task is highlighting the favorite main dish posts and it's so hard! Main dishes are definitely my forte here on Semi Homemade Mom, mostly because that's what I cook most often! Here are the main dish recipes with some of the highest pageviews this year:
On today's installation of Countdown to 2013, we're highlighting our top soup recipes! If you're a regular follower of Semi Homemade Mom, you know we are SOUP LOVERS in this house. In November, I held Soup Week which was so much fun!
I loved having a series on the blog, and apparently you did too! I have some more fun planned this year so stay tuned.
Here were the top soup recipes on the blog this year:
I definitely have a resolution to try more egg-based breakfast dishes. We love eggs in this house, but I find myself turning to traditional scrambled eggs most of the time! What about you? Share your favorite breakfast recipe in the comments for us!
First of all, I want to say Merry Christmas to each and every one of you! All the rushing around and craziness stops when it's Christmas Eve for me. Well, for the most part. :) Today we will be going to my mom and dad's for our traditional meatball sandwich and potato salad dinner. Silas helped her make this year! From there, we'll be going to our church's candle light Christmas Eve service. It's probably my favorite service of the year!
And then it's night night for the boys while I finish wrapping and Paul puts together their new kitchen set. They love pretending to cook, so I'm really excited to see their reaction. :) Do you have any special traditions on Christmas Eve? Sometimes I look forward to Christmas Eve just as much as Christmas Day!
Now on to the menu plan. Lots of slow cooker recipes, again! I love that thing and I'm excited to try some new ones this week while I'm home. Here's the plan:
Meatball Sandwiches and Potato Salad, Cheesecake for dessert
