Mocha Mint Latte with Dunkin Donuts Coffee

As a kid, the smell of coffee brewing always made me think of the holidays. My parents have always been major coffee drinkers, year round, so why would I associate coffee with Christmas?

Every Christmas morning my parents would make us wait at the top of the stairs, at approximately 5:15 am (yes we were up that early), for them to get their coffee ready. We seriously could not come down the stairs to see all the fun toys Santa had brought us until they had their coffee. It took FOREVER!

We were SO ANNOYED at them every year! Seriously, what kind of cruel joke is this?? Standing up there in our PJs, jumping around. Trying to sneak down the first few steps without them noticing. Then that smell. Hot coffee brewing in the kitchen finally made its way up the stairs to our little impatient noses. Hallelujah!!

But you know what? As an adult now, and a total coffee fiend, I get it. Christmas morning is just not Christmas morning without the wonderful smell of coffee throughout the house. Now the question is, should I continue the tradition with my own boys? What do you think? :)

Take your favorite cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee to the next level with this Mocha Mint Latte. Did you know Dunkin' Donuts packaged coffee is available at the grocery store? Right now they have special seasonal varieties including Mocha Mint, Pumpkin Spice, and Gingerbread Cookie. Available for a limited time!

Mocha Mint Latte
makes 2 large servings

2 cups brewed Dunkin Donuts Mocha Mint coffee, divided
1/2 cup white chocolate chips, divided
1 1/2 cups milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
whipped cream

Place 1/4 cup white chocolate chips in the bottom of 2 large mugs. Pour 1 cup hot coffee over chips in each mug and stir until completely melted. Meanwhile, heat milk in saucepan over medium heat until it begins to steam. Increase heat to high and whisk until frothy. Stir in vanilla extract. Pour milk over coffee in each mug to fill. Top with whipped cream.

This is seriously one of the best latte's I've ever had! It's so convenient and the seasonal coffees have a cute gift tag right on the bag. Wrap it up with a cute mug and a copy of this recipe, such a great neighbor or hostess gift! Click here to visit Dunkin Donuts and find out more about these delicious new holiday coffees.

  5. Haha, this story made me laugh. We do that to our kids, too! We don't have stairs, but we do make them sit in the family room and wait for us to get settled with our coffee before they can start tearing the packages open. This looks SO GOOD. I think I'm going to have to make it Christmas morning!
