Friday Favorites - Fresh Tomatoes

I'm sure those of you with gardens in your backyard are knee deep in fresh tomatoes by now. I'm so jealous! I swear, next year we need to clear part of our jungle backyard to keep a vegetable garden. I know I'll be the one doing most of the upkeep, but what a fun learning experience for the boys! Ahh fresh cucumbers, spinach, zucchini, and of course several varieties of tomatoes. Speaking of red, juicy tomatoes, here are some of my favorite Semi Homemade recipes!

Slow Cooker Fresh Tomato Sauce

My mom makes her own tomato sauce throughout the summer and freezes portions in ziploc bags. What a great way to have fresh tomato sauce through the year!
