Seriously. I have no idea why I waited so long to try this. I'm not kidding people, they're that good!! Mine weren't all that "healthy" because I just used regular flour tortillas instead of the 100 calorie ones that were called for in the original recipe. I also didn't realize that our lettuce from the week before had gone bad. It didn't make a difference, these were delicious!
Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps
from Skinny Mom's Kitchen
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (I used a little more to taste)
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
pepper and salt to taste
5 flour tortillas (the larger ones)
shredded cheddar cheese
sliced tomatoes
yellow mustard
Brown ground beef in large skillet and drain. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dried onion, and salt and pepper to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes. Sprinkle shredded cheese down center of each tortilla. Add a few heaping tablespoons of the beef mixture on top of the cheese. Spread some mustard on top of the beef along with some slices of tomato. Roll up tortilla burrito-style and place wraps on preheated indoor grill (I used my George Foreman Grill).
Grill wraps for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted. Cut on a diagonal and serve immediately. My mouth is watering!!

ReplyDeleteThey tasted awesome!! thanks
ReplyDeleteps- the tip about the George Foreman was great!!
Yes for sure the George foreman grill was perfect. We are having these once a week at least.
DeleteThese look so easy and good. Will have to try them soon.
ReplyDeleteThis looks really great, but as a single girl this makes too much. For the extra, can you make them and then freeze before grilling them? I know the tomato will be a little mushier but I can live with that. This would help for those days that you don't feel like cooking to be able to bring one out of the freezer.
ReplyDeleteThese look really good. I can't wait to try them for my family. I'm so glad I found you from a link at Menu Plan Monday.
ReplyDeleteThese look so good and I love cheese and hamburger. Will give these a try soon.
ReplyDeleteHad these for dinner tonight. Delicious! Hubby and my 20 month olds ate them. Thank you for posting!
ReplyDeleteYum...This looks so good. I am adding this to my recipe book and going to try it this week. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. A different take on a classic. I grilled mushrooms and onions and put swiss cheese on mine. Divine!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing! I discovered the recipe via OrgJunkie's Meal Plan Monday and we now have them nearly every week. I tend to cook up half a kilo of mince then freeze half the seasoned mixture. It defrosts really quickly and is great for a quick dinner! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletemaking these tonight. can't wait to try them

Loved these!! Found them on Pinterest.
ReplyDeletethese look soooo good. Then I got to thinking, it would be good with hamburger, cheese and pizza sauce. OR chicken, buffalo sauce and cheese. OR taco fixings - lol. Going to have to try these out soon
ReplyDeleteI use this idea tonight. I used canned chicken, drained it, broke it up and added buffalo wing sauce. I put mozz cheese, the chicken and sliced tomatoes on the tortilla, rolled it and cooked it. I then dipped it in ranch as I ate it.
ReplyDeleteTHEN, I put broken pieces of graham crackers, chocolate bar pieces and cut up marshmallows (the small ones would have worked better) and made a smore in a roll - that was SOOOOOOOOO good.
Just found your blog and am super excited to be your newest follower!! These look great!! http://abpetite.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteJust found these on pinterest! They sound amazing, definitely making these soon for my boyfriend and I! Thanks so much for posting!

ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful and it is a wonderful idea to use a tortilla instead of normal roll! Yumm!!!
ReplyDeleteFound your blog from Pinterest. Just tried this recipe and it was amazing, and the George Foreman was the perfect thing to use for this. I'm still in the process of learning to cook things and this was so simply to make. Definitely think that this will be in our meal plan from now on.
ReplyDeleteYUM. Why didn't I think of this. Will definitely make it again!
ReplyDeleteYou had me until ketchup <3
ReplyDeleteI made these and they were awesome. Used lean ground turkey and still amazing. Thanks!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions if you do not have a foreman grill??
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions if you do not have a foreman grill??
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a George Foreman grill, I will heat it in a skillet, seam side down first. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional few minutes. You won't get the grill lines, but I would think it would be just as crispy. Hope that helps!
Deletemade these a few weeks ago and am looking forward to making them again tonight for dinner! I served these on low carb, whole wheat tortillas and they were still REALLY good. I also added pickle slices and made a "mac sauce" (kind of supersedes the health benefit of the tortilla, but who's counting?) Delish, thanks for the recipe!

Try my mon's style empanadas!. They are pretty much the same receipe. Ground beef, onions, some tometo sauce and condiments (salt pepper, garlic, paprika, choose what you like) add some olives and if you like it boiled egg chopped in peices. If you do not have empanadas, you can use tortillas and stuff them with the mix. Cook them in the oven, and you will love them. You can also stuff them with a mix of cheese and jam, or spanichs and creeam cheese if you are in a diet, or corn with a bechamel sauce, or tuna in peaces with whatever you want. They are delicious. And fantastic for parties. You got them ready and just reheat them when the guests arrive.
ReplyDeleteAnother good one, if you have some sauges letf over from a barbacue, wrap them in a tortilla, or you can mix flour, water and olive oil until you make some bread, nd use it for wroppaun the saufges. Inside what ever you like, peppers, cheese, olives, onions, etc. And heat it in the oven or a grill. You will love them also.
ReplyDeleteJust found this recipe on Pinterest! CANT WAIT to try it out :) what a simple yet creative idea!

Has anyone tried ground turkey instead of hamburger?
ReplyDeleteOh my god, this is the best thing I have ever seen. I have been looking for some new stuff to cook on the grill. I just got a new one that came with a bunch of grill covers and have been dying to try it. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThese are EXCELLENT! :-) I used my iron skillet to "grill" them instead of a George Foreman and they turned out great! Thank you. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! I wonder if the leftover cheeseburger wraps would freeze well??
ReplyDeleteTry using ground turkey instead of beef. A lot less fat!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of your sloppy Joe grilled cheese make me so hungry. These burger wraps also look like cheesy burritos. I love burritos, and burgers so I can wholly support this fusion.
