Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore | Mostly Homemade Mom

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

August 10, 2011

Believe it or not, I actually put this in the crockpot before I realized I was in labor early on Sunday morning! I only had a few bites, but I was so thankful I had prepared this because my mom, dad, sister, and brother in law all came over at some point and they were able to enjoy some lunch too. It was really nice to have them over, it distracted me from the pain and I was able to labor at home for about 5 hours before going into the hospital.
Anyway, this was obviously a super easy recipe! Everyone raved about it and the house smelled wonderful.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
adapted from Lipton Recipe Secrets
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 envelope Lipton Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix
8oz sliced mushrooms
Place chicken in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken, turning to coat. Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours. Serve with your favorite pasta.

  1. Yum! And crockpotable makes it that much more amazing. Thank you so much for linking up. I am going to share this recipe with my Facebook readers. :)

  2. THANK YOU so much for sharing your recipe with me at Cast Party Wednesday. I'd like to invite you back this week.
I hope to see you again!

  3. yum! I'll put this on my list of things to try. The pasta sauce sounds like a great way to add flavor and moisture (a lot of my crockpot chicken recipes end up too dry).
